NEW THIS WEEK, you're going to be able if you would rather complete this task as a scenery or as 2 pages in your album

Advantages of doing it as a scenery: You don't have to wait the whole 2 weeks for your critique, but you do have to wait for the results.

Advantages of doing it in your album: as you have two weeks to complete this task you can go back and slowly start building up your entry. You can go back and tweak it instead of just saving it and not being able to change stuff you're unhappy with in a scenery.

SEMI FINAL TASK

In this task you have to think outside the box, you have to be extremely creative. In this task you will have to come up with an outrageous fashion style, crazy hair and weird makeup! You also will have to come up with a background to go with your theme.

So whilst completing this task, let yourself go and make your doll weirdly wonderful! 

What we are looking for:

• Weird but still beautiful fashion/hair/makeup
• A pretty background to go along with it
• Your ability to think outside the box
• If you have done the actual hair/makeup to go along with the outfit

Since you have 2 weeks to complete this task, I don't believe anyone should have an excuse to either leave it till the last minute OR not do it at all.

What you should do: 

• Choose whether you are doing this task in 2 pages of your album OR a scenery
• If it's a scenery you get more marks if it's posed
• If it's in album you get more marks on if it has a description below in the comment section
• Choose a weird but beautiful outfit
• Do your hair (BIGGER THE BETTER, also strange colours would be good)
• Bold makeup (glitter, bright colours etc)
• Use Kawaii (Japanese style) as an example
• Use celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry or Dita Von Tease (Don't base it on these people)

WE ARE CLOSE TO THE FINALS and we’re not too impressed with the level of work people are putting into the tasks.

It’s like what I say goes in one ear and out the other. You get extra marks for getting your work in on time, and not on the day it’s due. I can tell it’s messy and I can see you don’t really take the competition seriously.

I’m not eliminating anyone who has done the task, I’m eliminating fab4taz for not completing it. She was given so many chances.

I’m not going to take ‘I’m busy with school work’ anymore. I’m doing A LEVELS along with having to complete my UCAS application and I find the time to think up a task, post a long blog entry about the task, look at your finished task, judge it, work out an overall score (average) and then post a long elimination blog. Whilst all this is going on, I have to find a time to speak to Sceneable because we are in two different time zones. I’m so disappointed.

The winner of this task is cupcakeloverxx5 even though you almost missed the deadline it was a good input.

LondonToParis: BritneySongzz- I love the quote, it’s well researched which is what we wanted. But, the actual thing is quite boring and average. And I can’t see your doll; I can’t see the devastation in its face. If it could be a little bit closer, you would have got more marks. 5/10

Sceneable: Britneysongzz- Thank you for actually completing the task right away, we really appreciate that around there and that attitude will keep you in the competition. Good job. Now about the work in the album; Well I do like how you use blue to represent water even though the tiles looks kinda messy. Your doll looks pretty dressed up for this so its good but you show no emotion and I dont know what the yellow tiles stand for. 5/10. 1 point for completing it and not letting the task sit around.

LondonToParis: Georgengigi115-Well done! I can see the research you did with your doll having a business suit on but the hair/makeup really doesn’t go with the look. And that’s where you let it down. I like the movement of the leg running, and you showed slight emotion with a tear on your face, but not enough 7/10

Sceneable: Georgengigi115- Thanks for showing some emotion with the tear drop in the face, but I was hoping to see your doll more emotional in the features. Thank you for also trying to pose but I don’t get to story what you are trying to present. I do like the effect in the background and how you are dresses like a business women so good job on that. 6/10

Hooray A makeup task
For this task, we want you to create a really edgy look
Edgy: Dark, Mysterious, leave you hanging off your seat feeling, sharp lines,
BUT with a bit of a twist. We want edgy WITH bright colors.
Bright: Makes you stand out, can't help but notice them, neon maybe

LondonToParis: Britneysongzz- I always like your dolls, I don’t like the piercings but I like the bold eyeliner along with the faint bit of green and bright lips. Some eyeshadows would be been great. 7/10

Sceneable: Britneysongzz - For this makeup task, I was really expecting heavy eye makeup, you did something really like. I wanted it to look daring, espically the eyes. but I do like the lip color. 7/10

Overall Score: 7

LondonToParis: Cupcakeloverxx5- I like this, it’s like a cute bumblebee look. But I wish you didn’t do the black lipstick, it ruins the look a tiny bit. It does look edgy. But it also looks a bit messy, and when I think edgy I think straight lines and cutting edges. Love the eyeliner and eyeshadow 9/10

Sceneable: Cupcakeloverxx5 - I really do like the colors you choosed for this look, I like yellow but I feel like the lines of the shadow could be done nicer, It looks a bit sloppy. I love the black lips, I think it could be a bit better without the blush though, And maybe a different hairstyle, The part with the earrings kinda bothers me. 8/10

LondonToParis: Fab4taz- You never fail to amaze me, I absolutely love it! This is exactly what we were looking for. The colours are perfect, you’ve got the edginess from the eyeliner, it does feel like it’s missing something but well done you always stick to the brief 9/10

Sceneable: Fab4taz - I really like this look, I like the hairstyle and the lips. I do like the eyeliner on the eyes but you tried doing random colors where it made it look a bit sloppy, I’d just stick with black and pink on that look. 8.5/10

Overall Score: 8.75

LondonToParis: AmongTheRoses- I like how you had an idea behind the look, you stuck to the brief. The lips and eyeliner/eyelashes are bold with the neon green behind it. I would of liked to have seen a different colour to the typical neon green but the look is good, it’s bold and soft at the same time. 9/10

Sceneable: AmongTheRoses - I think this makeup look would be better if you would of stuck with 2 colors. The colors are good colors but they don't scream out bright. I do like the hairstyle so you can see the face. 7.5/10

LondonToParis: Georgengigi115- I love the idea of you doing the neon purple as a bright yet gothic bold look, that was smart. I like the far away picture you took but the close up shows the makeup looking messy and uneven. But you stuck to the brief 8/10

Sceneable: Georgengigi115 - I absolutely love the purple lipsick, And I loved the colors you used for the eyeshadow, but the eyeshadow is a bit lopsided, its not even on both eyes and it looks like you just dabbed it on without trying. I would recommend some more eyeliner to make it pop more. 7/10

Here is where it all gets harder; you’re going to be given a stereotype. This stereotype is going to have a background story that is opposite to how your character would usually behave.

THIS IS YOUR TIME TO STAND OUT FROM THE OTHER GIRLS, AND SHOW US HOW ORIGINAL/CREATIVE YOU ARE! TAKE RISKS

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO: You will be given your stereotype (e.g emo, nerd etc) when you have been assigned this you will have to take 1 or 2 pages in your album and come up with an outfit, makeup/hair and background to suit the stereotype AND their story. For example, if they are a girly girl do the outfit girly but if this girly girl has gone through something traumatic then the hair/makeup or background would have to show this OR THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Alternate between hair/makeup, outfit and background showing the stereotype and their trauma

HERE IS IT BROKEN DOWN FOR YOU:

1.      Look at the stereotype you’ve been given

2.      Read the background story

3.      You will need, an outfit, a background and hair/makeup

4.      One thing must reflect the stereotype(for example if it’s emo, emo makeup/hair) but then look at your story and base something on it.

5.      Make it subtle, but make sure you’re reflecting both parts.

6.      This is a makeup, outfit AND background style.

7.      Be creative, but stay on task.

Something must indicate the stereotype AND the story

Here are stories:

Nerd: This girl has been taking performance enhancing drugs, she is using these to try and boost her intelligence. She has become addicted and it is damaging her health. They are no longer boosting her intelligence, they are damaging her system.

Girl next door: She went on a night out for the first time ever; she got too drunk and slept with someone. She is now pregnant and does not know what to do.

Gangster: She has managed to get into a university with a full scholarship, but is afraid what her gang will say about this.    She is worried they may hurt her/bully her/disown her.

Emo: She is an inspiring model, it is her dream. But the agency has disregarded her because of the scars on her wrists.

Queen Bee: Her father died and did not leave a will or any inheritance; she is having trouble keeping up with her popular image and cannot afford her convertible car or this seasons Gucci. She is afraid she will be left by her friends and become a no body.

Tomboy: Constantly bullied about the way she dresses, she tries to change herself into a girly girl by buying a whole new wardrobe and makeup. When the bullies find out she’s changed her whole look she gets bullied even more and gets teased her new nickname is ‘Drag queen’

Indie: Gets called old fashioned and boring, and people say her look is not modern at all. So she dyes her hair purple and calls herself by a different name trying to modernize herself but soon becomes upset that she has done it

Druggy: She has never actually taken drugs, she is an inspiring dancer and has been a drug mule for years trying to raise money to get lessons and pay tuition into a dance school. But she gets caught by the police carrying drugs and is now on a serious drug trial.

Skater: Always teased about her gender because it is a male sport, she is determined to get sponsored by a big company and compete and in big competitions. She gets a spot in a small but important competition but in warm up falls and breaks an ankle
